The exhibition, Crossover, engages audience participation as the space created reacts to the audience by turning off when the space is engaged. The installation illustrates the power dynamics between adults and children by creating the illusion of child space through light, recordings, and props. The responses to the piece reflect relationship to children as authority figures, as well as the subversion that children play out. Some participants felt became anxious about the "child" within the space, this prompted them to engage with the space. Often Parents and adults with experience with children engaged with the space more readily. Having adults return to a the child bedroom, but this time not to scold, but rather to converse on how much control they might have over this space.
